UNN Admission List 2026/2027: How to Check Your Status and Accept Admission

UNN admission offers for the 2026/2027 academic session are reportedly appearing on JAMB CAPS. Candidates who applied to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka should log in to their JAMB profiles to check whether they have received an offer.

The latest admission report, published by Myschool on 25 October 2026, concerns offers on CAPS. A separate UNN undergraduate admission-list PDF for 2026/2027 has not been verified for this update. Your own CAPS record is therefore the place to confirm your admission status.

How to Check the UNN Admission List on JAMB CAPS

You need the email address and password linked to your JAMB profile.

  1. Visit the JAMB e-Facility portal.
  2. Sign in with your registered email address and password.
  3. Select Check Admission Status.
  4. Choose the 2026 examination year and enter your registration number if requested.
  5. Select Access my CAPS.
  6. Open Admission Status to view your record.

Read the institution and course displayed carefully. An offer should identify the programme you have been admitted to study; it may differ from your original choice.

Checking with a phone

If CAPS shows only a welcome message or hides the admission menu, switch your browser to desktop mode.

On Chrome, tap the three-dot menu and select Desktop site, then reopen the admission-status section. You can zoom in to read the details.

If you cannot remember your password, use the Forgot your Password? link on the JAMB login page. Reset access to your existing profile rather than creating another account.

What Your Admission Status Means

Your CAPS message tells you which stage your application has reached.

StatusWhat it means
Admitted or a congratulatory admission messageAn admission offer is available. Review the institution and course before responding.
Admission in ProgressProcessing is ongoing; a final approved offer is not yet displayed.
Not AdmittedNo approved admission offer is currently showing on your profile. This message alone does not establish that UNN has completed the entire exercise.

JAMB explains that an institution’s recommendation must receive approval before the candidate’s status changes to admitted. If your name has been shortlisted but CAPS has not updated, check your O’Level record and the Transfer Approval section for any pending action.

How to Accept Your UNN Admission

Once an offer appears, confirm that you want the course before accepting it.

JAMB’s published acceptance procedure provides two channels:

  • SMS: Send ACCEPT to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number registered with your JAMB profile.
  • Biometric verification: Visit a JAMB-accredited CBT centre or JAMB office to respond using your fingerprint.

To decline an offer, the SMS instruction is REJECT. Use this only when you have decided not to take the admission. These channels are set out in JAMB’s official admission-acceptance notice.

After responding, return to CAPS and confirm that your decision has been recorded. Keep any confirmation message and follow the deadline attached to your offer.

If you no longer have access to your registered SIM, use the accredited-centre or JAMB-office route. Avoid giving another person control of your admission decision.

If UNN offers you a different course

Open Transfer Approval on CAPS and read the proposed programme carefully. JAMB identifies an unanswered transfer offer as one reason admission processing may remain incomplete.

Before responding, consider whether you want to study the proposed course. Follow the instructions attached to the transfer; JAMB’s published procedure also covers acceptance or rejection of programme changes through its authorised channels.

UNN Admission List PDF: Where to Check

Use the official UNN website for university admission announcements and links to published lists.

When opening a list, check three details before searching for your name:

  • Academic session: It should say 2026/2027.
  • Programme: It should cover the undergraduate admission route you applied through.
  • Candidate details: Match your registration number as well as your name.

UNN also publishes notices for Sandwich, postgraduate and other programmes. For example, its website carries a 2026 Sandwich Second Supplementary Admission List. That is a different admission exercise from regular undergraduate admission for 2026/2027.

For any applicable PDF published by UNN, use your PDF reader’s search function to look for your JAMB registration number. Read the instructions accompanying the list, including any registration or payment deadline.

Still Seeing “Not Admitted”? Check Your O’Level Records

One requirement that applicants should review is whether their results were correctly submitted to both JAMB and UNN.

In its 2026/2027 O’Level upload notice, UNN instructed affected candidates to upload their results to JAMB and validate them on the university’s admission portal. The notice specifically covered candidates who:

  • Wanted to replace previously submitted WAEC results with NECO results.
  • Wanted to combine WAEC and NECO results.
  • Had registered with awaiting results and now had their results available.

The deadline in that notice was midnight on Wednesday, 30 September 2026. It also applied to the relevant Post-UTME registration processes. That date has passed; the notice should not be treated as a fresh invitation to register.

If your records are incomplete, seek guidance through UNN’s official portal and JAMB’s support channels on what can still be corrected. Uploading results to one platform does not establish that you completed the separate requirement on the other.

What to Do After Accepting Admission

1. Print your JAMB admission letter

Use your existing JAMB e-Facility account:

  1. Select Print Admission Letter.
  2. Review the transaction details.
  3. Complete payment through the portal’s available payment gateway.
  4. Enter your examination year and JAMB registration number when prompted.
  5. Download and print the letter.

JAMB’s admission-letter instructions explain this process. Keep the transaction reference in case you need help with the payment or printing.

Check that the institution, course and personal details on the letter match your admission record.

2. Follow UNN’s instructions for newly admitted students

Open the UNN portal through the university’s official website and follow the instructions applicable to your admission.

Accepting an offer through JAMB and completing university registration are separate tasks. Read UNN’s instructions for student-profile creation, acceptance payment, clearance and course registration before proceeding.

Use the amount and payment route shown in the applicable university instructions. An acceptance-fee figure from an older session should not be used as the current amount without confirmation.

3. Organise your documents

A useful preparation step is to keep your application records together, including:

  • JAMB admission letter and result slip.
  • UNN screening acknowledgement.
  • O’Level results.
  • Birth certificate or declaration of age.
  • Local government identification.
  • Payment receipts generated during registration.

UNN’s screening instructions already required several of these records, including the birth certificate, local government identification, JAMB result slip and O’Level documents. However, this preparation list is not a substitute for the university’s final clearance checklist. Follow that checklist for required originals, photocopies and any additional documents.

Where to Get Help with Admission Problems

For a JAMB login, CAPS or admission-record problem, use the JAMB support portal. Explain the issue clearly and provide the details requested in the support form.

For UNN screening, result-validation or student-registration issues, use the support options provided through the university’s official website or portal.

Keep your password, payment details and other private account information out of public comments. No applicant needs to publish those details to ask a question about admission.
