Which AFIT portal should you use?
AFIT runs several portals, and using the wrong one is the most common reason students think the school website is “not working.”
| Portal | Use it for | Address |
|---|---|---|
| Student portal | Fee payment, password and receipts | student.afit.edu.ng |
| Admission portal | Applications and Post-UTME results | portal.afit.edu.ng |
| Transcript portal | Transcripts | transcript.afit.edu.ng |
| Postgraduate portal | Postgraduate applications | spgs.afit.edu.ng |
To reach the student portal from the school’s main site, open afit.edu.ng, go to the Students menu, and choose New Students or Returning Students. Both options point to student.afit.edu.ng.
How to log in to the AFIT student portal
- Open the portal. Go to student.afit.edu.ng, or use the Students menu on afit.edu.ng. Only use the official address.
- Enter your login details. AFIT’s last published instruction (for the 2025/2026 session, on its older student page) used your JAMB registration number as the username. The default password was built from your level and the session year. A 300 Level student, for example, used 3002025. We have not seen the 2026/2027 default password published, so do not assume the same pattern carries over. Confirm it on the login page or with the help desk.
- Change your password and email. On first login the portal asked students to set a new password and add an email address before continuing. Use an email you can access, because it is your route back in if you get locked out.
- Open your dashboard. Once the change is accepted, you are taken to your dashboard.
- Use the payment option. The dashboard carries a “Proceed to Pay” option for the current session’s fees. Follow it to the end.
- Print your receipt. After a successful payment, use Print Receipt and keep a copy. You will need it for clearance and registration.
How to pay AFIT school fees on the portal
AFIT’s official notice, dated 9 October 2026, tells returning students that the payment portal is open and directs them to student.afit.edu.ng for all payments.
New students should follow the payment and registration instructions in their admission documents. The 9 October notice is addressed to returning students, so do not assume it replaces what your admission letter says.
Before you pay, check three things on the screen: your programme, your level, and the 2026/2027 session. Then confirm that the amount matches the official schedule. AFIT has not published a closing date for 2026/2027 payments in the notice we reviewed, so confirm any deadline with the school.

| Returning ND, Pre-HND and HND students | ₦128,000 – ₦143,000 | Varies by programme type |
These totals cover published charges only. Accommodation is not priced in AFIT’s schedule. For the faculty-by-faculty figures, read our AFIT school fees breakdown for 2026/2027.
If you cannot log in
- Check your username. The last published instruction used your JAMB registration number, so make sure you are not typing a matric number or an old email.
- Do not reuse an old password. If you changed your password in an earlier session, use that one rather than a default.
- Try again later or switch browser. Portals slow down when many students pay at once. Clear your browser cache or try a different browser before you decide something is wrong.
- Newly admitted? Confirm your admission status first. Our AFIT admission list guide explains how to check JAMB CAPS and what to confirm before paying anything.
- Still stuck? Email the help desk with your full name, programme and level. Never send your password.
